BANANA WHIP

Mash and whip two ripe bananas with fork. Add a few drops of lemon juice and one teaspoon honey. Add 1 cup berries and sprinkle with ground nuts or shredded coconut, if desired. Serves two.

blueberry (or huckleberry) dessert 1 box blueberries or huckleberries.

Wash the berries thoroughly and stew on low flame without adding any water. They take only a few minutes to stew. Add shredded coconut or sliced bananas. Serves three.

bread pudding

6 slices stale bread (whole wheat), 1 tbsp. raisins, 10 large (soaked) prunes, 2 large apples, 1 cup water, saved from the soaked prunes, 21 tbsp. honey or raw sugar. 8 strawberries, whole wheat cracker crumbs.

Break bread into large pieces in a large bowl. Cut prunes into small pieces. Shred the apples. Crush the berries, using a fork. Add bread, raisins, honey, and water. Mix and bake in an ungreased baking dish. Sprinkle crumbs over top. Bake in medium oven until brown. Serves four. baked fruit i sliced pear (with skin), 2 sliced apples (with skin), 6 washed prunes, pitted, 2 cut-up figs (unsulphured), 1 cup washed raisins, 1 cup water.

Mix and bake in covered casserole for 30-40 minutes. Serve with honey and berries. Serves two.
