Brown Rice Loaf

BROWN RICE LOAF

2 cups brown rice, 1 bunch carrots, 1 lb. string beans, 2 onions, 1 bunch celery.

Wash rice and soak over night in enough water to cover. Grind or grate onion, celery, string beans, and carrots with skin after scrubbing them thoroughly. Mix with rice and bake for 30 minutes in oiled dish. Sprinkle paprika for color and flavor. Serve with favorite relish. Serves ten. rice and vegetable casserole 1 cup brown rice, 1 onion (grated), 1 tsp. vegetable oil, 1 carrot, 1 cup precooked peas and celery, 1 cup raisins, 2 tbsp. honey.

Precook rice for 10 minutes in one glass of water. Put into greased casserole. Add grated carrot, precooked vegetables, raisins, honey, and mix. Add x-| glasses of water and bake for 30-40 minutes. Serves two.
