FLORIDA SPA VEGETABLE LOAF
Combine any assortment of cooked vegetables, except beets. Add sauteed onions and dried boiled chestnuts. Have ingredients quite dry. Bake in well oiled casserole. Serve with a vegetable sauce. vegetable pie i minced onion, 1 minced green pepper, i1 tbsp. whole wheat flour, 1 cup cooked carrots, 1 stalk
minced celery, 1 tbsp. oil or vegetable shortening, 1 cup cooked peas, 1 cup diced boiled potatoes, biscuit dough (see recipe below).
Boil potatoes in jackets. Peel and dice. Steam onion, celery, and green pepper for a few minutes. Add flour and pour juices of steamed vegetables over it. Stir until boiling point is reached. Add cooked vegetables and oil. Transfer to greased baking dish, cover with biscuit dough, and bake in very hot oven for about 20 minutes. Serves six.
biscuit dough 1 glass whole wheat flour, 1 tsp. vegetable broth powder, 1 tbsp. honey, 2 tbsp. soybean oil, 4 tbsp. water.
Blend shortening, vegetable powder, and honey. Add flour and mix with a fork. Add water gradually. Roll out thick on a floured board.
